Who was behind September 11?

September 11 is one day that everyone remembers exactly where they were.

I was in Germany at the time. I was attending an overnight meeting in a chateau that belonged to the bank I worked with. We were in a very serious meeting when someone barged in with the news… our bank had an office in one of the towers, so it was shocking for me to actually know people who might have died in a world class catastrophe.

Obviously, I was the only Arab there… and at that moment… when things were not clear, when no one knew what was going on, I did not know how to feel. I was worried, afraid; ashamed and lonely… especially that western media made sure to belittle Arabs and Muslims and to label us as terrorists for months and months… those were difficult times for a lot of us who lived in the west at the time, but it also was the time that many of us discovered that we were Arabs and/or Muslims.

The problem then, was that information flowed in one direction… the American government to the rest of the world… there were no checks, no validations. People had no choice, but to believe whatever we were told.

I guess this is why I like loose change. It gathers alternative voices and opinions. It shows convincing and staggering evidences that September 11 was much more complicated that we all thought. IFor me it gave me an insight into a very mysterious dilemma. Who was after September 11?
