good suggestion on the voting delimma
I dont know if this is a good idea… but instead of voting on who stays or who leavs, why dont we start a periodical popularity vote. This way each one of us would know what a popular site looks like…( Thus quality will be automatically defined)
The way this is done is by putting all 27 names and then each one of us will click beside the names he/she likes…the most popular one will get 27 hits and the least popular will get 0 or in that range….
The reults will be dispalyed and each one of us will know where they fall in the rank, the one who has the highest rank will get a twinkling star and go home happy, the others would know that we need to make our posts more interesting or put more effort in the posts, so that in future they will not be ranked at the end…. instead of punishing people by kicking them out, lets give ourselves a chance to become better…
This way we all get to stay, we all get to know how the others feel about us, it is fair, and no one will get embarassed or embarass themselves by saying i dont like fulan. No ethical issues will be endangered in this proposal and we will get what we deserve.
the rules:
1- we all have to vote, no one refrains
2- each one votes one time and clicks beside all the name they like.

Mariam, I like the idea as well.. but still, I wouldn't stop the voting process until it ends on Tuesday Noon. Reason is that it is something that we already started. Once that is done, we can get back, and furtherly discuss ideas and options. I am really glad that my decision to have the voting exploded all those postings/comments/options/suggestions .. it means to me that I am not the only one that cares about this issue.
Regarding your suggestion, I like it, I may somehow suggest a variation of it.. that is beside every post, for each one of us, every reader (not only bloggers) rate it from 1 to 5.. ratings per postings could better reflect the readers' reaction per postings, and thus per author/blogger.. That is not technically doable now.. let's now proceed with the voting, and see how it will go.. and then discuss different options

Isam it is up to you… I like the idea of voting on articles. I think voting people out brought lots of negative feedback and feelings. This is why i came up with my idea… it will give the same results but without the negative feelings… dont stop the vote, but change it into what i suggested, this way everyone will get what they want…. and then after Tuesday we will start the article rating idea.
Isam we all mean well… lets not ruin JP because we started on a certain idea… but again… you are the one who is working on this, so i will support whatever decision you make.

“Well, some bloggers may be excluded by the voting, including myself. But I always wanted to hear opinions about what I post. Maybe by telling people what other people think of their blogs would cause them to reconsider and enhance the QUALITY (not-defined
