Ibtisam the fortune teller 2!

well, after drinking my coffee and seeing that all these ladies actually read their cups and nothing happens (all the way, i was telling them that i will NOT read my cup, i will only join them, because i was somehow under the impression the the floor will open and swallow me if I read my cup!) I decided ok, maybe it is ok to read my cup!as they are all sitting here… and the floor seems solid enough!

i started getting excited as i was getting nearer. all through i was talking to the ladies around me… I found out that Ibtisam does not read cups for men, because she does not allow them to come and sit with her. but men CLEVERLY solved the problem, but bringing their cups with them from hme and have her read it, while a messanger goes back and forth between ibtisam and them… smart, no?

I also found out that the police raided the house few times,( especially after the satanic wave in Jordan, few years ago) but with her charm and grace, she read their cups and send them home happy, while she got to keep her small business!

Anyway… Sarah asked me to hear what ibtisam will tell her, and i must admit i was impressed… she described her house in detail… and that her mom was dead and talked about her job.. told her about two of her friends and an incident that took place few days ago… I was still skeptic, i mean this is general stuff. But when she gave her a guy's name and a last name, Ibtisam managed to wipe that ironic smile from my face. Sarah has a secret admiration to this guuy and NO one can tell ibtisam!

My turn finally came, and i was so excited now, she asked me to put two things in my head and then she looked into my cup…. was silent a little bit and then said… sorry can't read your cup because you did not have the intention to read it!!!!!

So my advise, if you go, go with the intention! and also you can bring your own cups from home!

Ibtisam the fortune teller!

My friend has been nagging to take me with her to a very famous fortune teller called Ibtisam. I heard so much about Ibtisam and i thought why the hell not,it would be cool… and boy what an adventure it was! Ibtisam lives in a refugee camp near Amman, called Baqaa.

I went in the car with two friends, Sarah and Dana… Dana was the driver and was wearing a very inappropriately tight pants and she is not exactly skinny, her shirt was also very tight and short and her hair…. boy that strong blond colour simply did not fit in the area! Sarah on the other side, well she looks normal… but she is very much into Karma and the power of earth and mother nature and super natural events……. When we stepped in ibtisam's house, she said ” do you know what is this bad smell? it is the bad feelings people leave behind them…and i thought to myself … (all i smell is stinky feet!) but i am running ahead of myself here!

When we reached Baqaa, young boys with runny noses running barefeet in the streets started telling us how to get to Ibtisam's… when they see three young laides in one car, they know immediately where they are heading… we followed the narrow, bad streets, till we managed somehow to get to her house.

The moment you get there, you would know, from the number of Mercedes and BMW that are parking there totally out of place… you go into the house and a young hostess leads you to a living room where many many many women are sitting… All sorts of women, whom you would never imagine seeing there. People made space for us, and we sat down… few minutes afterwards, they brought us a very heavy coffee and instruted us to turn it upside down the saucer when we finish… we follwed the instructions with so much care waiting for our turn.

Ibtisam is a young lady who sits in the corner. she has pleasnt features… I was so curious, and started chatting to people to see what they will tell me… they told me that she became a psychic when she hit 13, she somehow managed to befriend a jinny (i was impressed, remebering that when i was thirteen i was still trying to make friends from this world)… I will stop here today… but what is really worth knowing is that she has been feeding a very large family, and that she upgraded her parents house several times… and that she is really a very interesting woman, who is very sure of herself. Finally she never reads on Fridays or in ramadan… so if anyone is thinking about it, chose other days….
