pool event
I am invited to a pool gathering. My neighbor Randa is invited too, she picked me up around 2:00 and we drove off (not alone, as women don’t drive here, for those who don’t know!).
We get to Sevgi’s (my Turkish friend) she is the best hostess I have ever met, always entertaining… I saw nice appetizers, deserts and drinks. I changed into my bathing suite and join the ladies on the pool, my eye was on the food as I was starving! We sat inside the water as it is more than 41 degrees there. We talked, swap stories… and time passed. The story of the day is what happened in Khobar, things are getting serious here.
Sevgi , I don’t know what to call her, my protégé maybe, she is the friend who calls me everyday, the one who sends me the driver to have a coffee at the pool, she is the one who takes me around, tells me about the sales, events and parties… she is a shopping queen, excellent in bargaining, I know who to take with me if I ever want to buy a house anywhere in the world!
